WHAT IS JOSTA? | A) The name of my pet
turtle?
B) The 7th highest peak in the Himalayas? C) A National Treasure? |
If your answer was "C", then give yourself an Official Pat on the Back! If you guessed "A", then you either know me or have psychic abilites. Anyone who answered "B" needs a geography lesson.
JOSTA, now the Official Carbonated Stimulant of the Higher Order of BOB, is a relatively new soda introduced by Pepsi in 1996. It contains NATURAL extract from the guaraná berry, which is native to the jungles of Brazil and Uruguay. Natives to that area have claimed for centuries that guaraná is a potent stimulant, and JOSTA's label claims that it releases "raw, primal power." There are many skeptics who doubt JOSTA's claim, but there is NO doubting the experiences of those who have been truly JOSTAfied. |
But What Does It Taste
Like?
Your guess is as good as mine, because I'm convinced every bottle
of
JOSTA is different. One day it will taste really Fruity,
one day it tastes like Cherry cough medicine, tomorrow it will remind you
of cinnamon, and then of course you have the occasional beer-flavored JOSTA.
It's sweet, yet spicy. And that aftertaste just keeps you coming back for more!!! What
do you think?
GUARANA
AND CAFFEINE
Guaraná contains a relatively high
concentration of caffeine. A guaraná berry contains between 2.5 and
5% caffeine (averaging approx. 3.5%), over twice that of a coffee bean (1-2%).
When being prepared for consumption, the seed which the guaraná fruit
produces is crushed into a paste, which is one-tenth
PURE
CAFFEINE. Furthermore,
guaraná contains natural muscle relaxants, and acts on the central
nervous system to prevent fatigue.
Upon reasearch, I found that Pepsi spokespeople state that JOSTA has a slightly higher cafffeine content than Mountain Dew. JOSTA has approximately 58 mg, and Mt Dew has 55 mg (per 12-ounce serving.) |
